A Parker PV360 piston pump broke down and had to be overhauled. For this overhaul, genuine parts were needed, and the sooner they were available, the sooner the pump could be back in operation. Because the pump was in use at an end customer, the speed of the repair was directly linked to whether that customer could keep working.

We had the required genuine parts in stock. This meant they could be supplied from our own stock, without first having to be ordered, so the overhaul could go ahead quickly. The pump was also fitted with an older version of the pump control. In addition to supplying the parts, we provided support with this older version, so that this part of the pump was also taken care of during the overhaul.

The combination of parts from stock and support with the older pump control made it possible to overhaul the pump quickly. As a result, the end customer carried on without downtime. This case shows how having the right genuine parts in stock, together with knowledge of older versions, helps to get a pump back in operation quickly.
