An offshore project back on track

An offshore project back on track
During a large offshore project, a Gold Cup pump stopped working. Because the pump was needed for the work, the project could not be completed as long as it was not running. Finding the cause was therefore essential to be able to continue.
The crew on the project had tried to find the cause of the problem themselves. Other companies had also looked into it. However, none of them had been able to find what was causing the pump to stop working, so the problem remained unsolved and the project remained at a standstill.
One of our technicians then went out to the project. On location, he traced the fault and solved it, which got the pump working again. With the pump back in operation, the project could continue and was completed. This case shows the value of specific knowledge of Gold Cup pumps when a fault is difficult to find.
